September 12, 2019 (Stuttgart, Arkansas) —Farmers and Merchants Bank President and CEO Gary Hudson recently announced the promotion of Barry Barnett as Eastern Division Market President. “I am pleased to announce that Barry Barnett has accepted the position of Eastern Division Market President. I am confident that the Eastern Division will achieve continued growth and success under Barry’s leadership” says Hudson. The Eastern division consists of market areas in South Arkansas County and Lee County with banks in DeWitt and Marianna.
Born and raised in Stuttgart, Barnett is a 1995 graduate of Stuttgart High School. Barnett received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Business from Arkansas State University in 2000. He served on the Arkansas Bankers Association Emerging Leaders Council from 2012-2014. He is a 2013 graduate of Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU and has 19 years of banking experience.
Barry and his wife, Courtny, and their three boys reside in DeWitt. Barry is an active member of Rotary Club and member of First United Methodist Church in DeWitt.
Farmers and Merchants Bank recently exceeded 1.5 billion in total assets with the acquisition of Integrity First Bank, bringing the number of locations to 27, serving 18 communities.
